Bringing a respite from
the bombardment of brights that summer bought, as we wave goodbye to August (and
the sun) and hello to September (and the drizzly dark days), L’oreal Paris has
introduced a new collection of lipsticks: Collection
Privée by Color Riche L’Oreal Paris. The aim of the collection
was to create the ‘perfect’ nude lipstick for each and every skin tone created
in tandem with the celebrities after whom they are named- and the campaign certainly
features an amazing array of fabulous famous faces - Cheryl Cole, Doutzen Kroes,
Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria and Liya Kebede each worked with
L’Oréal Paris colour designer Orrea Light to develop the lipstick shade that
best complemented their individual skin tones, and the results make up the
Color Riche Collection Privée. I opted for Doutzen Kroes pearl pink nude, aptly named ‘hint of pink’…
These six limited edition lipsticks come in a simple gorgeous black casing with gold embossed detailing paired with a replica signature of the celebrity whose shade it is. ‘Hint of pink’ is a wonderfully flattering soft, icy, cool-toned pink shade and the lipstick itself is ultra-moisturising, to the point where it almost feels like applying a lip balm. I'm so impressed with the colour and quality of this lipstick I am definitely tempted to have a peruse of the rest of the collection.
“When I put it on I do feel very elegant – it’s a very good everyday colour so I can wear it all the time, whenever I want,” Kroes said of her colour, Hint Of Pink.
I LOVE the fact that L'oreal has created shades to suit all ethnicities and skintones - as so many brands just don't bother! The L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée Limited
Edition tailored-nude shades are described as follows:
Doutzen
Kroes: Barely Pink A combination of freshness and femininity with
a sprinkling of softness. The way this barely pink nuance melts into any type
of complexion gives it indispensable elegance.
Eva
Longoria: Barely Golden . With a hint of gold
added, the best to capture the radiance of matte skin and sublimate the
complexion, the sun-kissed effect is worthy of the influential woman!
Cheryl: Barely
Greige . Ultra-chic and rich in iridescence, barely greige offers a
discreet contrast to the skin, thereby enhancing the natural beauty of the
complexion.
Julianne
Moore: Barely Peach . Sensual and delicate to
the extreme, enhances the radiance of pale complexions and endows them with
elegance and sophistication.
Freida
Pinto: Barely Parma Perfect for emphasizing the delicacy and
elegance of the amber complexion. The ultimate in refinement, this shade evokes
a freshness as well as sheer sophistication.
Ldya
Kebede: Barely Moka . A barely brown nuance that
adds a charming shade to the lips for a contrast to dark skin that comes up
trumps.
