Last night I headed out to Amika in Kensington with some girlfriends, we managed to blag Red Carpet Entry and had a table in the VIP Room so I decided I'd dress up and go all out for the occassion!
Unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of my dress but I was wearing a VERY bright, structured dress which is definitely not for the faint hearted - but I absolutely adore it. The picture in the middle hopefully gives you an idea of the fabulous bright pink/fuchsia colour and the other two images actually show you the fabulous detailing of this dress!
It is described on the website as 'One shoulder structured mini dress with peplum and shoulder pad detail.' You may think by looking at it that it would be too rigid or heavy to be comfortable but neither is the case. The only thing that feels a bit funny is the 'flared skirt bit'(?) obviously extends outwards so sometimes you find that part of the dress bumping into tables or other people which feels ever so slightly odd!
It's by a brand called AQUA and when I went to go and find a stock image for the dress I merrily discovered that everything is 30% off on the website at the moment so go and have a little look and see if any of these amazing dresses take your fancy!
They are most definitely 'statement' pieces!
