Collection 2000 Range and Collaboration with Diana Vickers

On Wednesday evening as the sun set on an unexpected Indian Summers day in London myself and a dozen or so other Bloggers sat in a dimly-lit,make-up, candle and cocktail filled room for the Collection 2000 Bloggers event. Champagne in hand we wandered around the tables sampling the delights that this budget-friendly brand has to offer.

The most eye-catching element was the four Diana Vickers posters dotted around the event. Diana Vickers is the new face of Collection 2000 and the A/W Campaign uses Diana's favourite Collection 2000 products which include: Collection 2000's Intense Colour Supersoft Kohl Liners, Collection 2000's Lasting Colour Lipstick in Mango Tango, Collection 2000's Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners and Collection 2000's Hot Looks Nail Polish in Lemon Soda.

Personally, I am a huge fan of all of the looks Diana and Collection 2000 created (I have a bit of a girl crush on Diana - her hair is the hair of my dreams!) but my absolute favourite are the two evening looks:

A gorgeous smoky eye and flawless face in both and a nude and pink lip - for this look the Colour Match Foundation, Pump up the Volume Mascara and the Smokey Eye Palette were used. The Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel was used for the glitter effect on the eyes - it looks absolutely amazing and I think will be perfect for big nights out and/or Christmas parties.
Below is a short video showing you some behind the scenes footage of the A/W shoot:

I'm in love with every single lip gloss colour in the
Lock N Hold collection. They incorporate my perfect colour palette of pinks, neutrals and nudes (there's also one pale lilac colour for you slightly braver girls!). The Lock and Hold collection give a deep, long lasting and non-sticky colour deposit and they smell DIVINE - summery and fruity (my favourite is 'Twisted Disco'-what a fabulous name). RRP £2.99

The Cream Puff collection have gained a cult following already thanks to mentions from the incredible Lisa Eldridge in numerous videos . They are described as having a velvet-feel and a matte look and are 'Enriched with a hyper-moisturising, vitamin-rich formula, the creamy colour hugs lips to give your pout the perfect powdery finish.' RRP £2.99

For under three pounds this product is absolutely amazing value for money and if it's good enough for Lisa Eldridge it's good enough for me!
These Shimmer Shades really caught my eye as being a nice dupe for the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks and at only £4.19 each they're a fraction of the cost. They are described as 'Four merged blocks combine shimmer with shade for a multi-tonal and natural blend of colour' and they come in two shades- 'Blushalicious Blusher' and 'Way to Go'. Collection 2000's own MUA Athena suggests:

'For a healthy sunkissed look, work product from all four colour cubes into a big bronzing brush and apply to the face and neck, blending thoroughly. To highlight the cheekbones, brow or forehead, sweep a single shade across the area with a blusher brush. Sculpt and contour the face for a look that will take you from dusk to dawn.'

False Lashes are a new addition to the Collection 2000 range which will be launched in October and they offer eyelashes suitable for a more dramatic, evening look 'Glam Volume Lashes' and a subtle, daytime look 'Natural Length Luscious Lashes'. These lashes are £2.99 each which is very exciting news for me as I am an eyelash obsessive and am always picking up new pairs, but the majority of false eyelashes retail at over £5 per pack, thus this is probably one of the cheapest false lashes available on the high street and I can see them becoming immensely popular - especially for 'first timers'.

The photo below shows the two gorgeous shimmer shades along with the foundation, concealer and powder (all staples of the range). Collection 2000 is now the second fastest growing brand in face (bases and powders) and I can vouch that their lasting perfection powder rivals Mac's Blot Powder (I use the shade medium dark in MAC and medium in Collection 2000).

The video below shows you some more of the Collection 2000 products in action on the divine Diana Vickers and how to recreate the A/W looks.

I shall be doing some looks using the products, some reviews and some swatches too. I hope that you will think twice about checking out this budget friendly brand next time your in Boots or Superdrug as so much of the collection is absolutely fantastic and it is definitely on par with other higher end brands.

Let me know if you pick up anything from the range, if anything catches your eye or if a product is already a staple in your beauty collection.
