Swish and Flick - Swinging Sixties Twiggy Inspired Eye Makeup with Illamasqua

Just a short and sweet post to show off my little Illamasqua make over. I had a little sixties inspired make-up refresh at the flagship Illamasqua store in Soho and have to say the MUA doing my makeup was absolutely superb - really helpful, friendly, complimentary as well as skilled and knowledgeable.

The big lashes, retro flick and white eyeliner created a Twiggy-esque look which I loved and was teamed with a coral blush and matte pink lipstick. Both MUA's were sporting similar retro makeup and it's a look heavily featured in Illamsqua editorials and on the website.

The MUA used Illamasqua eye liner cake in 'Mislead' and the Angled eye liner brush to create the flicks then added 'Elate' eye liner pencil along the water line. The lashes are all my own with lashings of my favourite mascara and brows are courtesy of Benefit. I picked up the 'elate' eye liner and 'lover' blusher so the real test will be to see if I can recreate this look myself.

I have a MAC gel eye liner somewhere in the depths of my makeup bags, my bestie swears by Bobbi Brown gel eye liner and I usually use Rimmel exxagerate liquid liner. What is the Maybelline gel liner like? I need eyeliner recommendations please!
